The Office of Sustainability is excited to provide a monthly newsletter, containing information about sustainability on-campus, current projects, and events & activities every month. Articles written by students about sustainability topics ("The Greenhouse Blog") are also featured.

The UT Dallas Office of Sustainability currently operates an Instagram account @utd_sustainability also frequently details information about sustainability on-campus, current projects, and events & activities.

Yes

A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
Facilities Management and the Office of Sustainability work across campus to improve the livability of our landscapes. As part of UTD's Tree Campus USA certification, we have placed ID tags on every tree on campus, and we have a publicly viewable tree map on the Office of Sustainability website. This allows our community to see the attributes of our 7,000-plus trees. Native wildflower planting signs are placed to label those areas throughout campus, as well as pollinator plant space signs to complement UTD's Bee Campus USA certification.

The sustainability walking map and tour highlights various green programs while offering insight into campus driving routes, building identification and quick facts.

Green living guide 

Does the institution produce a guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience?:
Yes

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:
Within the UT Dallas housing experience, the resident handbook, posters, and stickers are available to incorporate sustainability into the residential experience by conserving, disposing, composting, and recycling used materials correctly. All students and staff also receive information regarding sustainability at orientation.

Educational signage is prominently posted throughout UTD's dining hall, which has a 3 star Green Restaurant certification. Topics include local food, carbon footprint, sustainable harvest, and more.
