In 2021, the Office of Sustainability partnered with the UT Austin Center for Transportation Research to administer a comprehensive travel preference survey distributed to the University of Texas at Austin community during the months of March and April of 2022. The survey aims to study the travel modes and patterns used during the survey respondent’s latest trip to and from the UT campus or the PRC/WPR. The survey asks respondents about their UT primary role, time, and frequency of commute as well as the primary and secondary mode of transportation. Three survey reminders were sent, and 9,116 responses were recorded. The sampling fraction for undergraduates was 6.2%, and 17.3% for graduate students.
