NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat Program
As visitors enter the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, they encounter arching aqueducts, established oak trees, fluttering pollinators and birds of many different feathers. The Wildflower Center is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat.

Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES)
In November 2017, the 14-acre Dell Medical District at The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin) became the first project to hold SITES, LEED, and PEER certifications, making it one of the most holistically sustainable and resilient facilities in the world. Additionally, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Luci and Ian Family Garden earned a 2-star SITES rating.

Tree Campus USA (Arbor Day Foundation)
Since 2008, The University of Texas at Austin has been honored as an Arbor Day Foundation Tree Campus USA. We provide landscape and outdoor services that promote the sustainability of our campuses. Information about UT's Tree Campus initiatives can be found on the Facilities Services website. Information sections include: desirable tree species, memorial tree program, notable trees on campus, root management, Texas Arbor Day, the Battle Oaks, tree conservation, tree inventory and assessment, and tree maintenance
