Self-selection/volunteer.


A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive (1st program):

Green Teams attend 6-8 meetings per year at which they are briefed on current UT sustainability initiatives, and discuss and provide feedback on office-level initiatives such as break room recycling, ink & toner recycling, energy management, and green purchasing. Each year, a "campaign" is selected so that Green Teams know where to focus their efforts.


A brief description of the staff and/or other financial support the institution provides to the program (1st program):

A small budget is maintained through the Office of Sustainability; the Director of Sustainability oversees the program. Resources are available year-round through the website of the Office of Sustainability, including the Green Team checklist, a signup form, and a brief white paper on how to start a Green Team. The Director of Sustainability and other staff are available for in-person presentations outside of the regular meetings.
