A brief description of the metering system:
Utilities & Energy Management installs power meters for electrical consumption and flow meters for chilled water and steam. About 50% of the university's buildings are fully metered at this time. There are power meters on 100% of the buildings, and more flow meters are being added weekly.

UEM is beginning a Virtual Billing project in which the metering system will generate electric and chilled water bills for individual buildings. Results should be available next year.
