TA is not subject to OSHA recording and reporting rules and does not track recordable incidents in the same manner. The University of Texas System (UT System) operates a self-administered / self-insured workers’ compensation insurance program pursuant to Chapter 503 of the Texas Labor Code. Program administration includes management of cost containment contracts, actuarial assessment of premiums, fund administration, reporting and training, and timely payment of claims and expenses. Workers’ compensation claims are investigated and managed by staff of a third-party administrator
