The mission of the Women’s Faculty and Staff Network (WFSN) is to empower women Faculty and Staff by advocating for opportunities to advance their professional development in research, teaching, and service, while balancing their personal, career, physical, and mental health demands at the University of Texas at Arlington. The WFSN provides a university-wide forum for the discussion of ideas and mutual concerns of women faculty and staff. The WFSN utilizes its collective wisdom and experience to inform policymaking at the university and is a key network from which the administration can gain vital input regarding policies that affect women across campus. The network also has a book club. Members of the WFSN Book Club will choose a book or two to read together during the semester and utilize the WFSN Book Club Blog to reflect and share our thought

Members of the WFSN Book Club choose a book or two to read together during the semester and utilize the WFSN Book Club Blog to reflect and share our thoughts.

A goal for the 2020-2021 school year is to also do "live" book club virtual gatherings through Teams.

Stay tuned for the Fall 2021 book club selection! We will also have an opportunity for you to share what you are reading with the "What I'm Reading" blog posts. We are always looking for good books in all genres.

This year we are focusing on books that foster diversity, professional growth, and wellness (broadly defined).

The blog is open to WFSN members and is a safe place for discussing the topics relevant to the readings. Complete the book club suggestion form or add the book to our Goodreads group.

A meeting will be set for each session in the Teams Book Club Channel and be sure and check the calendar for dates. Looking forward to everyone's thoughts and responses!
