Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
The Chair of the Working Group on Curriculum Research and Community Engagement surveyed the sustainability experts and researchers listed on the University’s sustainability website (http://www.uta.edu/sustainability/academics/faculty-experts.php ; accessed 8/11/2010, data covering 1 year), and on the linked listings of the Center for Renewable Science and Technology (http://www.uta.edu/ra/real/editprofile.php?pid=1312&onlyview=1 ) and the Ecology Group (http://biology.uta.edu/ecology_group/people.htm ). The departments appointing the faculty involved were identified. At UT Arlington, some academic programs have status equivalent to Departments but are administered in a School rather than a Department. For Schools, the number of academic programs rather than the number of departments was counted.
