Dear Steering Committee:
On behalf of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), I am pleased to offer our Sustainability, Tracking & Assessment Rating System (STARS) report. The report tracks all of our efforts to be a sustainable campus and an incubator for learning. To the best of my knowledge, all data, practices, and standards are accurately represented.
As a research-based, land grant University, the University of Tennessee has a significant role in fostering over 30,000 future leaders. The knowledge and values to improve economic, social, and environmental wellbeing is instilled into every fiber throughout our system. Demonstrating responsibility to our campus and beyond. Continuously advancing our nationally ranked programs and strengthening our partnerships like with Oak Ridge National Laboratories will continue our efforts to prepare the best scholars and researchers to tackle the issues of tomorrow.
I am grateful to have STARS as a resource for this university to track our progress throughout the years and to find parts of our university that would benefit from extra support. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to showcase our sustainable efforts across all parts of campus.
Sincerely,
Michael Brady
Associate Vice Chancellor
