A brief description of the institution’s green event certification program:
The Office of Sustainability facilitates the "Zero Waste Events" program. Event planners at UTK and UTIA can make a request to make their event a Zero Waste Event in an online form. After a request is made, Office of Sustainability staff will meet with the event planner periodically over the planning period in order to make recommendations for compostable products, vegetarian/vegan friendly options, local options, etc.
