A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
Research Informatics wrote an R script that searches for a set of keywords used in sponsored projects titles and abstracts recorded in Cayuse as well as publication titles and abstracts recorded in Elements faculty reporting system. We also have a set of keywords for sustainability topic. So the attached file has a list of UTK&UTSI researchers who used any of these keywords in the research proposals/projects or publications. This list is comprehensive meaning that it provides the total count of keywords at any point – this should help you to assess person’s engagement in sustainability research. The list is sorted by the total number of keywords used, so you can use that count to help you decide whether or not you can say that a certain employee is engaged in sustainability research. The keywords they used are also included for your review. There is also a tab that lists all the sustainability keywords that I searched for.
