91.60

A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):

The Office of Sustainability hosts one lunch and one dinner of each freshmen and transfer student orientation session that is a zero waste event. OoS staff and student workers are present to explain our compost and recycling practices, as well as our culture of sustainability on campus, to new students.

In the summer of 2019, 6,463 students attended orientation. Using the number of graduates in 2019 (7055) as an estimate for the incoming number of new students gives a percentage of 91.6%.
