The University of Tasmania Travel Behaviour Survey (TBS) is a biennial online survey open for 2 weeks in March/April. Data in this STARS report is taken from the 2017 survey. Students are asked to reflect on their travel behaviour from the previous week for commuting, inter-campus travel, parking, transport services and infrastructure used (including virtual transport). Demographic questions are also asked to provide further participant context.
Participation and statistical confidence for the 2017 TBS is as follows:
- Responses (sample size): 1976
- Confidence level: 95%
- Margin of error (+/- percentage points): +/- 2.1
