Information to support the living wage percentage reported above:

ACOSS and UNSW developed the Poverty in Australia 2018 Report which indicated the poverty line is at $433/week for one adult after tax, which would translate to $452/week gross. The University working week hours were used to calculate the hourly rate.
Salaries for Univeristy employees, including students, can be found in the University of Tasmania Staff Agreement. There is no distinction between student employees and other staff. The minimum salary as stated in the Staff Agreement is $27,604 per annum for juniors and supported wage employees less than 17 years, or $26.84 per hour for apprentices. Both are above the Australian living wage for one adult.
