The following presentations were presented at the 2019 Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability conference (13-15 November, Dunedin, NZ):
- Shooting for the STARS: Representatives of the Australasian STARS pilot cohort came together to share their experiences with the tool, including buying in by their institutions, benefits, tips and recommendations for potential future users, and how the use of STARS worked with other tools/ratings/reporting used at their universities (if relevant).
- Sustainability highlights from UK and Ireland – study trip report: The UK and Ireland are the first two countries to declare we are in a global climate emergency. How are universities in the UK and Ireland responding to this clarion call? What have they already been doing to integrate sustainability thinking into their operations, services, governance and academic endeavours? This session shares the learnings from a 2019 TEFMA and ATEM supported study trip to explore these questions.

The following case study was submitted to Green Gown Awards Australasia in 2019:
- Repower the Tasmania University Union (TUU): an outstanding example of students’ engagement and students and professional staff collaboration for sustainability. The project delivered the first 100% student-funded on-site renewably powered Australasian student union, highlighted to students that renewable energy is a viable climate change response and leveraged opportunities to support student leaders.
