To help focus and guide global action towards sustainable living, the United Nations created the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These 17 goals provide a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
The Diploma of Sustainable Living allows you to pursue a passion for sustainability, in whatever that means for you, through a range of exciting, multi-disciplinary study options. Specifically developed for online learning and authentic assessment, you can pick from a range of units that fall into four sustainable living oriented categories to specialise your learning:

Resource Use and Design for Living
Food, Well-Being and Health
Social Justice, Equity, and Diversity"

"A Bachelor of Natural Environment and Wilderness Studies gives you a broad, multi-disciplinary approach to understanding and tackling environmental issues, and develops your skills to build a better future for us all.
Nature, and especially wild nature, has become increasingly important for human mental and physical well-being. At the same time, it is fast being displaced, degraded and destroyed. An ability to think critically and creatively across disciplines, in the intersection between nature and human society, is vital for informing the management, protection, and use of the natural environment. People with this knowledge will work to protect and restore nature on our one planet.

There is no better place to study natural environments and wilderness than Tasmania. Our state is a living laboratory, with a fifth of it in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Areas, and 42% in protected areas, plus all accessible straight from the campus door. Tasmania also offers a vibrant variety of urban, social, and environmental enjoyments and issues to engage with, learn from, and live amongst.

This wide, interdisciplinary degree will enable you to contribute your skills and experience to a wide variety of occupations in a wide variety of places. Every nation, regardless of their level of development, has a natural environment which must be managed and protected."

"The Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Science) is a multi-disciplinary degree combining the disciplines of biology, chemistry, ecology and geography complemented with studies in environmental policy and management. The Environmental Science program offered at the University of Tasmania has a strong focus on aquatic science, chemical monitoring and environmental management and overarches a number of the University's theme areas, particularly the Environment, and Antarctic and Marine Studies theme areas.
The degree also provides a nexus with research programs in the Schools of Chemistry (environmental chemistry, ACROSS) and Geography and Environmental Studies (coastal and catchment management, forest ecology and agroforestry), as well as institutes within the University (IMAS, AMC NCMCRS). This course specifically aims to provide students with competencies, skills, knowledge and awareness, which will prepare them for employment as environmental scientists. The program also develops a wide range of general abilities including communication, analytical and problem solving skills that are widely valued by employers."
