Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

The next iteration of our commuting survey has been impacted due to COVID and has prevented the institution from releasing a more recent survey than the one undertaken in 2017. A small commuting survey was carried out for internal purposes to inform a report but was not a representative sample of the University so not included in this submission.

The figures indicating percentages of students and staff and how they commute to campus were collected by contracted staff standing at the entrances to the University and recording how people entered the campus. The main form of commuting for our students is via public transport. Most students alight at Redfern Station, 20 minutes from the campus. As student walk to our campus, they were registered as a walking commute. Students that were registered as arriving at out campus by public transport alighted at the 5 bus stops linked directly to the University entrances.
