The University is one of only 2 Universities across Australian who have been awarded a gold award in the Australian Workplace Equality Index. The University of Sydney currently isn't eligible to be awarded platinum status. There is no certification for students-based LGBTIQ recognition however, the University has several initiatives that support students who identify as LGBTIQ such as the Pride Network - https://www.sydney.edu.au/about-us/vision-and-values/diversity/lgbtiq-community.html
