A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
The university's 78-acre main campus is located where St. Paul's stately Summit Avenue meets the Mississippi River. The St. Paul campus includes the Anderson Student Center, the O'Shaughnessy Library, the Anderson Athletic and Recreational Center, the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, several residence halls, the Frey Science and Engineering Center, and the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. The western edge of the south campus borders the Mississippi Gorge Regional Park.

The 78-acre St. Paul campus consists of the original 45-acre campus, five acres of adjacent properties and 28 acres of the Saint Paul Seminary campus that were transferred in a 1987 affiliation between St. Thomas and the seminary.

The St. Thomas campus in downtown Minneapolis is home to the Opus College of Business, the School of Law, the Dougherty Family College, and the School of Education.

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? Included?
Agricultural school No No
Medical school No No
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) Yes Yes
Museum Yes Yes
Satellite campus Yes No
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres No No
Agricultural experiment station larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres No No
Hospital No No

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
The university owns a 12,481 square-foot facility in Rome, Italy. It is self-operated and not maintained by the university's facilities management department. As a result, operational data for that facility were not obtained for STARS. The facility, known today as the university's Bernardi Campus, was originally a residential estate. Today it houses a computer lab, library, kitchen, dining room, and student rooms. It represents less than 1% of the university's overall square footage. Additional information about the Rome campus is available here: https://www.stthomas.edu/rome/about/facilities/
