Yes

A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
Students can rent a bike from the Anderson Student Center. Bikes are free for daily use during the weekdays. They can also be rented for longer term checkouts for a fee. There are 8 bikes in circulation.

St. Thomas hosts one HOURCAR vehicle in a parking lot on our Minneapolis campus. HOURCAR is a regional carsharing program in Minneapolis and St. Paul. HOURCAR's vehicle locations and program details are available at https://hourcar.org/

The Twin Cities has an EV sharing program, Evie. There are two Evie vehicles located adjacent to campus.

The university offers prime parking spaces for fuel-efficient vehicles in multiple parking ramps.

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:
There are six charging stations in four locations across campus. These stations are available to students, employees and the public. These stations are available free of charge, but users must pay the hourly parking ramp rates. There are three ports in Tommie North ramp, three in Frey Hall Ramp, two in ASC garage and two in Lot K.

Does the institution have other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting?:
Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:
The university offers a subsidized Metro Transit College Pass for students and a subsidized Metropass for employees. Student and employee bike commuters are able to access showers on campus. The university offers indoor, secure bicycle storage for students and has several bicycle air pump and repair stations on campus.

Off-Campus Student Life conducts an annual Metro Transit training each September for incoming first-year students. Off-Campus Student Life also hosts a twice-annual Student-Tenant Education Program (STEP) to include information about mass transit, walking and bicycling.

Student workers in the Office of Sustainability Initiatives host a Bike, Walk, Roll event each September to educate students on how to navigate the Twin Cities without a car. A local bike shop provides simple bike tune-ups and information on biking.

The university also offers a shuttle bus between its Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses, which students and employees can ride for free.
