The University of St Thomas partners with Keystone Community Services to run a Tommie Shelf food pantry on the St. Paul campus and partners with Good in the 'Hood to run a Tommie Shelf food pantry on the Minneapolis campus. Tommie Shelf St. Paul has been in operation since 2019 and Tommie Shelf Minneapolis has been in operation since 2021. Both food shelves are monthly programs with Tommie Shelf St. Paul operating on the first Tuesday of every month and Tommie Shelf Minneapolis operating on the third Wednesday of each month.
Tommie Shelf also partners with the Kitchen Coalition program through Second Harvest Heartland to provide premade, microwavable meals to students. These meals are prepared by local restaurants and distributed on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses.
