Research Inventory
Inventory of the institution’s sustainability research:
An inventory is available in the attached file.
A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The Office of Sustainability Initiatives (OSI) distributed an online Qualtrics survey through an all-faculty email in October 2023 to identify sustainability research and scholarship. The survey collected the following information: name, role, department, UNSDGs research addresses, and brief description of research during the timeframe of Nov2020-present. Also, a SCOPUS search of research for faculty included in the 2021 STARS research inventory was conducted to determine whether their sustainability research was still active; faculty entries with active sustainability research were updated and entries for which sustainability research was no longer active were removed. For this submission, faculty who conduct research were defined as tenure-track and tenured faculty, visiting faculty, limited term faculty, and distinguished service faculty.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
We defined faculty that conduct research as tenure-track and tenured faculty, visiting faculty, limited term faculty, and distinguished service faculty. All faculty in the Dougherty Family College (DFC) are clinical faculty, so we did not include DFC as an academic department that includes at least one employee that conducts research. (DFC is considered one academic department.) Therefore, the number of academic departments included in this section differs from the number of academic departments at the University (41 departments in this section versus 42 departments total).
