The topic of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria has been discussed at recent meetings of the Board of Trustee's Investment Committee. The topic was first introduced with a detailed presentation given by an ESG investment specialist a year ago.  In subsequent meetings, the topic of ESG has represented a portion of the investment committee meeting.

The University's investment staff, along with the University's investment consultant, have also engaged our external investment managers on the topic of ESG. University staff have also met with numerous ESG/Renewable energy investment firms, both within the public equity and private equity asset classes. On our behalf, our investment consultant sent an ESG questionnaire to our investment managers, and received feedback from most of them.
