USC's internal employee training portal, TrojanLearn, features a training course for staff members of offices on USC's campus that would like to become Green Office certified. The course goes through various steps of the certification process and gives detailed instructions on all aspects of the Green Office Calculator.

Additionally, non-academic staff in USC Housing are offered training on collection and separation of landfill, recycling and composting waste, and receive education on how to dispose of waste properly in external bins that are serviced by USC's waste hauler. Staff in USC Hospitality are trained (by USC Facilities Planning and Management, then by "train the trainer" method) on proper separation of waste in kitchens into compost and landfill bins.
