The University has one system office for Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunity staffed with one Associate Vice President who reports to the USF System President and 10 staff. In addition USF also has a multicultural students affairs office in each of the three institutions USF Tampa, USFSP, and USFSM. USF also has an Chief Diversity Officer in USF St Petersburg, an Associate Vice President for Supplier Diversity and a Director of Diversity in the College of Medicine. These offices serve the entire university system and have identified programs and events to advance diversity and inclusion.

There are several offices providing training and cultural competence training in addition to opportunities implemented by colleges and students affairs, from bias an stereotypes to cultural competence. We also have provided 7 sessions of "courageous conversations in 2017 addressing gender, sexual orientation, race, undocumented students, bullying, micro-aggressions and disability. Training also began on hiring for diversity addressing unconscious bias in the hiring process for faculty search committees.
