USF is applying for this recognition in 2011 as part of the Campus Master Plan update. Over 2,000 trees have been planted on campus in the last 15 years. Nearly 180 donated trees have been planted along Leroy Collins Boulevard and other pedestrian paths on campus. Also, there are plans in place to have 230 new trees planted before the end of the year and 270 before May 2011. In addition, there is a USF Tampa Campus Master Plan Updated underway to support the expansion of Greenway on campus. Please see http://usfweb2.usf.edu/Sustainability/Initiatives/denivironment.html.
