USF Environmental Health and Safety supports the mission of the USF System, including the promotion of the success of students and the
advancement of research, by protecting life, property, and the environment. EH&S promotes the principles of safety, environmental
compliance, and risk management and assists the university community in achieving these outcomes through education, hazard
assessment, exposure mitigation, and the responsible management of hazardous materials.

USF Incident, Near Miss, Hazard Reporting: EH&S maintains a reporting site and associated forms for Safety Hazards, Near Misses, Injuries
& Illnesses, Vehicle Accidents, Property Damage, General Liability, Spills, and other incidents within the USF System. The reports The
reports are distributed to appropriate EH&S and Research Integrity & Compliance staff for incident/near miss review, root cause analysis,
and corrective action development/implementation, if required.

University Safety Committee Charge: The University has a responsibility to provide safe and environmentally healthy work conditions for
faculty and staff. The University of South Florida University Safety Committee is responsible for advising the Assistant Vice President,
Facilities Management on matters which affect the safety of employees at the University.
The Committee will evaluate, monitor and analyze safety and environmental health issues to reduce the risk of injury and property
damage on the University of South Florida campuses.
The Committee will evaluate, monitor and analyze safety issues and associated data/statistics to reduce the risk of injury and property
damage on the University of South Florida campuses. The committee is comprised of faculty members, staff representatives,
administrative advisory council representatives, AFSCME employee representative, University Police Department representative, Director
of EH&S (or designee), Director of Public Safety (or desginee), Director of Human Resources (or designee), one representative from
Research Integrity & Compliance, one representative from a regional campus, and one representative from USF Health.
University Lab and Field Safety Committee: The University Laboratory and Field Safety Committee (ULFSC) coordinates and monitors
laboratory and field safety functions and guidelines associated with research and teaching laboratories and field activities. Comprised of
ten members: four tenure or tenure-track faculty and four staff from each of the college and campuses with with research and teaching
laboratories, Director of EH&S, Director of Research Integrity & Compliance, a faculty member serving as chair (appointed by Office of
Provost), and the committee may appoint ad hoc members as well.
Student Health Services (SHS) strives to provide high quality healthcare in a manner that is culturally respectful, fiscally responsible, and
developmentally appropriate. SHS combines a wide range of medical, counseling, prevention, and wellness services to help support
students to be personally and academically healthy and successful. SHS services are also designed to
promote and protect the health of our campus community as a whole, so that students benefit from SHS's work whether or not they utilize
their services. SHS has a range of public health responsibilities, from administering influenza vaccinations to communicating about
disease outbreaks and other potential health concerns that affect the campus

Counseling Center: The Counseling Center is here for you, providing a variety of psychological services for all currently registered students
on the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida. All services are free and confidential. Most students come to the Counseling
Center when personal or emotional problems are impacting academic success and their usual ways of coping aren't working well. Through
compassionate and diversity oriented professional services, we offer you the opportunity to learn how to resolve problems, practice new
skills, and utilize insights and perspectives to enhance your mental wellness and be academically successful.
