Name of the campaign:
Renewal of Student Green Energy Fund

A brief description of the campaign, including how students and/or employees were engaged:

In partnership with the Student Government, the Office of Sustainability organized several events including a sustainability show case to educate students on the student green energy fund and its achievements over the years. This campaign was intended to highlight the significance of the fund to achieve the sustainability objectives of USF so that students would vote for its renewal. The student green energy fee is renewed every three years by student referendum. The Student Green Energy Fund is a nominal student fee (0.58 percent undergraduate resident per credit hour, 0.27 percent graduate resident per credit hour) that is used to assist the University of South Florida in conserving energy, reducing energy costs, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting renewable energy technologies. It invited students, staff and faculty to propose innovative sustainable ideas that can be implemented on campus. Proposals for sustainable ideas are accepted and funded in two cycles each year.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

The campaign was very important in mobilizing student groups and helped get a positive outcome of the referendum to renew the fee. Currently nine projects are in the process of implementation:
