A brief description of the incentives to encourage the authorship, peer review, and/or adoption of open access textbooks:
The USD Center for Teaching and Learning sponsors an Open Textbook Fellowship (OTF), application to which is open to all faculty. Recipient faculty receive training in open educational resources as well as a stipend for the adoption/development of open materials into their courses. The OTF was initiated in 2019.
