The University has several established policy to reduce universal and hazardous waste on campus. As these materials are banned from landfills, reduction of the use of such materials is viewed as a cost-saving method as well as its environmental benefits.

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety handles all pickup and proper disposal of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste.
