Does the institution have an occupied, formally designated model room in a residence hall that is open to students during regular hours and demonstrates sustainable living principles?:
A brief description of the model room:
There is a dorm room available for tours in our LEED Gold certified Honors Residence Hall. Tour participants learn about the low flow fixtures, dual flush toilet, light shelves, energy efficient lighting, and green cleaning practices in the residence hall. The room's occupants are compensated for having their room availbale during scheduled times. A more extensive model dorm room will be opened in Fall 2011 in our most recently renovated residence hall (also acheiving LEED Gold).
