A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

The University of Sharjah was founded in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, Member of the Supreme Council, and President of UOS. Regardless of its young age, the University of Sharjah is today known for being one of the leading campuses in the UAE. As part of the education district Sharjah University City, the University of Sharjah holds close ties with surrounding educational facilities.
UOS has nearly 15,000 students in a variety of fields of 111 academic programs across multiple academic disciplines, ranging from Sharia and Law to Health Sciences, Medicine, Fine Arts and Design, Engineering, and Communication. UOS also offers a wide range of degree programs at the diploma, BSc/BA, MSc/MA, and Ph.D. levels as well as the Executive MBA (EMBA) program.
UOS employs 653 faculty, 1200 staff and administrators and it is home to over 7000 people, with over 5000 students in dormitories and over 500 faculty, staff, and their families in UOS-provided housing.
