A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:

1. The SREE department offers a formal training course for renewable and sustainable energy students for 240 working hours to be accomplished in 6 - 8 weeks in a local or international sustainability organization. gives students early exposure to work in the real world and makes it easier for both students and employers when graduates make their transition to the job market. This course should be taken after finishing more than 95 credit hours in the sustainable and renewable energy program. Also, a faculty member will be assigned to serve as a mentor for students
A weekly report must be submitted to the mentor to evaluate the learning outcomes
(Attached a list of the sustainability companies we sent SREE students to for practical training as well as a screen record of the online portal that students use to upload required letters and weekly reports)
2- Health Awareness Week
Health Awareness Week is designed to introduce first year
medical students to a variety of health services in the Emirate
of Sharjah and surrounding areas. Through participation in a range
of activities, students develop a greater awareness of health
services, communities, and practices. These experiences help
students to develop an understanding of the mechanisms and
issues involved in providing health services to various
populations as well as identifying areas in need of improvement
with particular focus on topics related to “World Health Day”.
At the conclusion of this week, students present on
a health-related topic taking into account challenges and issues
related to disadvantaged communities, poverty, environmental
issues and health
