Campus recycling program started its activities in 2006 under the supervision of the Office of Sustainability. When the pgorams started it collected only paper products and beverage containers. The program now diverts the following recyclable materials, continuously increasing the diversion rates: paper, cardboard, beverage containers, glass, plastic, metal, clean food plastic, uncontaminated lab plastic, batteries, cell phones, toner cartridges, electronics and paint.
The majority of grounds waste is currently composted.
