Disability Services for Students (DSS) assists students by offering programs and advocacy services—fostering an accessible and welcoming campus. All students with disabilities are encouraged to register with DSS. Services and programs include:
• Notetaking sssistance
• Letters to professors
• Alternate Format Textbooks
• Exam accommodations
• Advocacy and mediation
• Library assistance
• Assistive technology
Established in 1991, the Aboriginal Student Centre aims to increase the retention and success rates of Aboriginal students. Services include:
• Elders to provide spiritual teachings and counseling to students.
• Life Skills Coaches
• Tutoring rogram
• Two pow wows, one for Welcome Week and one for graduation
• Financial assistance with scholarships, bursaries and awards, student loans, emergency loans and band funding.
