The U of S sustainability website includes pages on "What is sustainability," "What campus is doing," "Campus Sustainability Map," "What you can do," and "Contacts." One of the highlights is the “What is Sustainability?” video. In the video, a wide range of people from the campus community talk about what sustainability means to them and the world we all share. The “What is sustainability page” is also where you will find University of Saskatchewan reports and publications on topics like purchasing power, culture, economics, lifestyles, technology, and so on. Throughout the website sustainability heroes from the campus community are highlighted along the top of the various pages.

A standard sign draws attention to the features through the use of a consistent visual identity and a brief (one or two sentences) description. The categories of signage are based on LEED categories. This initiative started with the construction of our first LEED building, the College of Law Addition. The signage that was developed for that project is now incrementally being expanded to other sustainable operational initiatives throughout campus.

PAWS (Personalized Access to Web Services) offers U of S students, faculty, employees, and alumni secure, personal, and customizable access to a host of services they need to access online—everything from email and online calendars to checking tuition balances and making payments. PAWS has over 17,000 users every day. The Office of Sustainability has added the PAWS system to their communications toolbox to get the word out about sustainability-related news and events. The Sustainability channel in PAWS is like a digest of everything that is going on, on campus and in the community surrounding campus.

The Sustainability Button is part of the fleet of useful buttons on the very popular iUsask app for iPhones and iPod Touches. The first university in Canada to offer an iPhone app, the University of Saskatchewan is leading the way in hand-held technology. More than 6,500 people have downloaded the iUsask app since it was launched last year. The iUSASK app features a number of different buttons that link to U of S sites and services. All of the information in the Sustainability portion of the iUsask app is hot-linked, so all you need to do is tap on a phone number or website link to connect directly with the source. There is even a link to make suggestions about existing sustainability initiatives or to share new ideas surrounding the campus.

The "What is Sustainability Video" features members from throughout the campus community reflecting on what sustainability means to them. The video is posted on Youtube, is on the Sustainability Website and on the sustainability link on the iUsask app. As well, the video is regularly used as an introduction when Office of Sustainability staff are asked to speak to classes or campus groups.
