Established in 2011, the San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative is a network for public agencies that serve the San Diego region to share expertise, leverage resources, and advance comprehensive solutions to facilitate GHG mitigation and climate change adaptation planning. By partnering with academia, non-profit organizations, and business and community leaders, the Collaborative raises the profile of regional leadership, shares expertise, and leverages resources. The main goals of the Climate Collaborative are to:

1. Address and prevent the harmful effects of climate change.
2. Promote a high quality of life for the San Diego region.
3. Foster a green and growing economy.

The CaliforniansForAll College Corps is a historic state-level investment in service that creates debt-free pathways for students who commit to serving in their communities for an academic year. USD’s undergraduate students who complete 450 hours of service through the College Corps will receive up to $10,000 to help pay for college. Service-learning placements are targeted in the following areas:
Climate Action: urban greening, energy conservation, environmental education
Food Insecurity: community garden, food/nutrition support, volunteer engagement
Students must meet one of the 4 following criteria to apply:
-Qualifies for a Federal Pell Grant
-Qualifies for State Cal Grant
-Qualifies for Middle Class Scholarship
-Needs to work part time and/or borrow student loans to meet educational costs
