A brief description of the graduate-level degree program:
At the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies, theory and practice are merged to give students conceptual insight and hands-on training such that passion for peace and justice transforms into visible change.
The Master of Arts in Peace and Justice program prepares students from diverse backgrounds for careers ranging from conflict resolution and mediation to human rights, social entrepreneurship to education, development to advocacy. MAPJ students have undergraduate degrees in such diverse fields as political science, international relations, human rights, psychology, the arts or business administration.
Graduates of this program become teachers, CEOs, senior policy advisers, magistrate judges, foreign service officers, directors of development and international trade specialists. They work at the United Nations, One Earth Future Foundation, U.S. Department of Commerce, Catholic Relief Services, Nature Conservancy, the World Bank and U.S. Agency for International Development, among other private, public and nonprofit companies and organizations. They stand out for their capacity to analyze the root causes of violence, oppression and injustice, together with the appropriate peace-building strategies to address them.

A brief description of the graduate degree program (2nd program):
Social innovation is increasingly essential to employers across all sectors, including business, health and education. USD Social Innovation students learn how to combine leadership, peace-building and business skills into a holistic approach that works toward innovative solutions for good. Students learn to contextualize social issues from a variety of perspectives including cultural, political and socio-economic variables, and to use the knowledge to formulate an action plan to meet emerging challenges such as refugee and migration flows, environmental degradation and humanitarian crises.
With a MASI degree, students become proficient in sustainable business model design, leadership, communication, human-centered design and problem solving, increasing their potential to develop innovations that will help communities to address poverty and social injustices.
Identifying the need for change isn't hard; perhaps the biggest challenge is narrowing down an area of focus. From microcredit to charter schools, hospices to fair trade, restorative justice to clean energy, there are abundant opportunities for students to apply what they learn.

The University of San Diego’s Master of Science in Engineering, Sustainability and Health (MESH) degree program is designed to enable professionals from multiple disciplinary and cultural backgrounds to work together to co-define problems and co-create solutions to our most pressing health and sustainability issues.
The goal is to unite engineering with the critical thought and larger perspective developed in areas that include but are not limited to: public health, peace and justice, sociology, anthropology, political science, development studies, architecture, design and cultural studies.
The courses are meant to be accessible to both students and working professionals who possess adequate, relevant professional experience.

Supply chain management is a core competence at world-class firms. The principal benefit of supply chain management is the generation of a sustainable competitive advantage. A firm’s supply chain extends from the end customer back through the firm’s distributors, the firm itself, its suppliers and their suppliers. Supply chain management focuses on the design, development and management of relationships, both inside the firm and with the firm’s supply world. These relationships are essential to ensure a smooth flow of quality goods, services and technology which optimizes end customer satisfaction. The program integrates three key legs: procurement, logistics and information systems with courses such as Sustainable Global Supply Chain Management.
