As part of UR's ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful community, an annual Workplace Harassment and Discrimination Training, mandated by New York State, is available. This training aligns with our Meliora values, promotes equity and inclusion, and ensures a safe and welcoming workplace for all. The course provides interactive scenarios and examples of harassment and discrimination and it encourages all of us to be active in ending these harmful behaviors. This course also includes reminders of existing laws and University policies and systems that address these complex issues.

The grievance procedure is taught during this course along with the Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment, and Discriminatory Employment/Service Practices, which includes an Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Statement and an anti-retaliation statement.
