Baseline emissions
Does the institution have baseline scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions data?:
Yes

Copy of the institution’s baseline GHG emissions inventory:
Online location of the institution’s baseline GHG emissions inventory:
Baseline year for scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions:
2023

Narrative outlining when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:
Temporal boundaries
Temporal boundaries refer to the baseline and performance year selected for an inventory. Because new organizational boundaries were set for the FY 2023 inventory that differed significantly from boundaries used in previous years, the University chose to use FY 2023 as the new baseline year to compare future progress to. The University chose to continue using fiscal years for inventorying greenhouse gas emissions, as it is how the majority of data tracking is already set up. Fiscal years start on July 1st and end on June 30st of the year they are named after.

Note: When selecting a baseline year, the boundaries and methodology should be consistent with that of the performance year. The two years should also cover the same type of year, whether that is calendar or fiscal.

Baseline scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions:
172,513 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

The Reporting Tool will automatically calculate the following four figures:

Net carbon sinks:
0 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Adjusted net scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions:
152,333.55 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Percentage reduction in scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from baseline:
11.70

Points earned for indicator OP 6.4:
0.47
