Since 2006, the University of Rochester has participated in the Multi-Institutional Study of Leadership on a triennial basis. This study examines leadership attributes conceptualized using the Social Change Model of leadership, which is especially relevant to community service participation. Thus one of the questions asked of students is regarding their participation in community service activities. The study was distributed to 4,000 student selected randomly from the University's undergraduate student population; 1,128 students responded to the survey. The survey has not been implemented at the University since 2021 but will be again in 2026.
