Description of the institution’s inter-campus collaborations for responsible research and innovation:
The University of Rochester is a member of SPARC, which advances open systems for research and education that enables everyone, everywhere to access, contribute to, and benefit from the knowledge that shapes our world.
Additionally, the Center for Matter at Atomic Pressures is a multi-institutional collaborative housed at the University of Rochester. There are multiple programs to support science education, including online videos, simulation-based learning tools (in development), programs to bring high school students and underrepresented college students to campus to conduct summer research, and collaboration to provide Southern University (HBCU) researchers access to the research facilities at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics. They also hold an annual science communication bootcamp for students and faculty. Details can be found at https://cmap.rochester.edu/.
