UR Sustainable has platforms on Facebook, Twitterm and Instagram that regularly post helpful sustainability tips as well as promotes local communities. They also post links to sustainability related articles to educate students about different sustainability initiatives on campus as well as around the world.

The University of Rochester, as part of the Pride of New York program, makes a tremendous effort to include more locally grown food in their dining options. These local offerings are clearly labeled, as are the vegan and vegetarian options that are made available at every dining hall.

University of Rochester Facilities and Services offers an online guide to educate students, visitors, and faculty/staff about the various sustainable transportation options offered at the University. The site includes a short description and information about taking advantage of each option.

Both the Medical Center and the River campus have maps available to employees and students to show where all of the bicycle racks are on campus. Brochures about bicycle safety and how safely load and unload your bike from a shuttle are also available. Bicycle safety workshops sponsored by the NY State Bike Coalition are are offered to University members as well.

All students are exposed to the Eco-boards, which are installations created and maintained by the EcoReps in order to educate students on how to minimize their environmental impact living in university housing.
