A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
The University of Rochester added a sustainability expo in the Douglas Dining Center in the 2012 orientation schedule. Incoming students can learn about the different sustainable initiatives and groups on campus, and how to get involved. This expo has been held in every year since then and is scheduled for the incoming class in the Fall of 2015. The school invites businesses to come and share what they are doing to help out around campus. A woman from Waste Management comes every year and talks to the incoming freshman about what they can do to reduce their footprint.
