The Office for Sustainability regularly collaborates with the Office of Institutional Equity at the intersections of climate justice, sustainability, and institutional efforts of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.  Such collaborative programs include the integration of UR's Guiding Principles for Equity Minded Practice into educational programs such as the River City Project, the integration of climate and environmental justice education into the Office for Sustainability's Internship program, and presenting to all incoming employees on sustainability (which includes a high level overview of UR's emergent work towards climate justice).

UR's Office for Sustainability includes one FTE tasked with exploring the intersections of enviornmental and climate justice and sustainability: the Associate Director of Sustainability and Environmental Justice.
