The Office for Sustainability publishes a monthly newsletter that highlights current events on campus, features sustainability stories on campus, offers sustainability facts, and contains links to events, opportunities, and other relevant sustainability-related content. Each newsletter also features students, faculty, or staff who support sustainability on campus. The newsletter list has over 2,400 subscribers and the entire campus community is made aware of the newsletter through the office's social media accounts and a "Spiderbyte", the University's internal email alert system. 

The Office for Sustainability uses Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook (@beagreenspider) to share information about events, initiatives, and programs centered around sustainability on campus and in the local Richmond community. The audience is comprised of students, staff and faculty, community organizations, and sustainability offices at other colleges and universities.

The University of Richmond has 17 green buildings (LEED-certified or EarthCraft-certified) on campus. Many of the buildings have LEED plaques, and some buildings have signage indicating green features, such as low-flow bathroom fixtures, high-efficiency lighting, and innovative HVAC technologies. 

The Office for Sustainability designed and posted interpretive signage at the Weinstein Center for Recreation solar array.

There are also interpretive signs in the Eco-Corridor about pollinators, stream restoration, and step pools.

As part of the tree inventory and Tree Campus certification process, identifying signage has been added to dozens of trees on campus.

The sustainability website features an interactive map highlighting campus points related to sustainability activities. The map features LEED buildings, energy projects, bike self-repair racks, donation bins, transportation, the community garden, and more.

There is also a campus sustainability map highlighting sustainability features on campus in the Office of Admission. This map is available for prospective students and their families visiting campus.

The Office for Sustainability has a "Spiders Guide to Sustainable Living" that serves a sustainable living resource. The guide covers topics like sustainable living at home, on the go, and getting involved on campus and in the Richmond community. This guide was distributed to over 900 students during first-year orientation and has been shared on the office's social media and newsletter. The Office for Sustainability developed a Green Room Program that provides UR students with a framework for adopting sustainable living habits in the residence halls and apartments. There are two checklists, one for students who live in residence hall rooms and another for those who live in a suite or apartment.

The Be A Green Spider section of the Office for Sustainability website also provides information on green living related to food, transportation, waste, water, and dining.
