Percentage of new employees that are offered orientation and/or outreach and guidance materials that cover sustainability topics:

A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
All new faculty and staff receive a handout during the first day of orientation which includes information on the University's commitment to sustainability and information on waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation, water conservation, transportation, and other sustainability resources which are available to employees. The orientation leader briefly discusses the handout with each group and instructs them to direct any questions to the Office for Sustainability. Campus tours involve some sustainability content. Prior to COVID, the Office for Sustainability delivered in-person presentations on opportunities for employees during New Employee Orientation. We hope to return to that model soon.
