A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The U of R provides physical wellness activities for students, faculty and staff. These activities include regularly scheduled exercise classes, reduced membership fees for an on campus fitness centre, wellness challenges (i.e. walking challenge), ergonomic assessments, individual fitness assessments (staff and faculty), lunch and learn sessions ( i.e. nutrition, stress management, MSI prevention) and a scent awareness program. For psychological wellness, faculty and staff with benefits coverage have access 24/7 to EFAP services. Students have access to counseling services during regular business hours and access to crisis counseling 24/7. Critical Incident services are also available 24/7 for group or individual debriefings.
