There is an expectation that social work faculty members will participate in community service on and off campus. Faculty members are involved on the boards of community based organizations (locally and nationally). The majority of social work faculty are registered social workers. Social work educators are involved on boards and community service, and use these hours as part of the required hours for ongoing registration with their professional associations.
