UR Sustainability Club. "The club’s main objectives are to promote home grown food on campus; encourage efficient waste management and water conservation; facilitate ride sharing opportunities; urge facilities management to invest in eco friendly infrastructure; promote sustainable international development, and most importantly, develop a hub for students, faculty, staff and community member to work on sustainable initiatives together". January 2014 - 120 members (15 very active). Group is student governed.

The campus has "The Edible Campus" project. In 2013 season it consisted of three gardens: the First Nations University Shared Garden, Le Potager (organised through the Institut francais), and the Green Patch (organised through the Regina Public Research Interest Group). This project has shared governance between students, staff, and faculty.

Enactus Regina - "A community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world." UofR group is very active. One project: "Based in Business helps entrepreneurial-minded retired and soon-to-be-retired Canadian Forces members reintegrate back into civilian life. .... In the summer of 2013, Enactus Regina officially rolled out the Based in Business bootcamp at the University of Regina, the first in Western Canada." (http://enactusregina.ca/)

Sustainability Action and Awareness Month - October 2013. Over 30 events organized by over 15 groups reached 1800 UofR students, staff, and faculty. Many of the events were organized by and primarily attended by students.

Re-ART: Recycled Art Competition and Exhibition. October 22 - November 1, 2013. Students, staff and faculty entered pieces made from found or recycled material. Held in student run Fifth Parallel Gallery. Cash prizes for top three student entries. Over 30 entrants. Over 650 visitors to exhibit.
